Situational awareness company and its social enterprise works with schools and senior living communities to benefit the community at large
Status Solutions and its social enterprise, the School Solutions Network, announced the launch of their intergenerational initiative at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting & Expo. The situational awareness company is working to create a society of mutual benefit where senior living communities, schools, organizations and local businesses are utilizing technology to connect and empower those who need it most.
With this new initiative, Status Solutions is taking community connectivity one step further by forging partnerships between local schools and senior living communities, facilitating programming for youth and senior citizens, and providing senior living residents with information on local events, organizations and service opportunities. The initiative hinges off the company’s self-service technology, CATIE, which already enables self-service and communication and access to information everywhere in a number of senior living communities nationwide.
Through CATIE, senior living communities can directly connect residents to happenings outside of their immediate walls, from community news and events, to information on local organizations and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, Status Solutions is working with senior communities and schools to identify programming opportunities to bring both groups together, including youth-led technology lessons.
“From our extensive work with both senior living communities and schools, Status Solutions is uniquely positioned to drive this important and much-needed engagement across generations,” said Mike McLeod, CEO of Status Solutions. “Through our technology and our social enterprise, we can truly drive community wide impact, whether that’s increasing the quality of life for seniors, developing positive role models for the youth or increasing volunteerism.”In addition to its intergenerational initiative and CATIE, Status Solutions provides senior living communities with technology to improve emergency alerts and response management, ultimately enhancing resident safety, increasing workflow efficiency and fostering collaborative care.
