Intel, ZeroNow, and Status Solutions
October is School Safety Month in Ohio—a time to reflect on the importance of creating secure learning environments for our students. At Status Solutions, school safety isn’t just a seasonal focus; it’s a year-round mission to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a protected environment.
This dedication is why we’ve partnered with ZeroNow, an organization committed to accelerating innovation in school safety. Together with Intel, ZeroNow has developed a school safety ebook, “Making Schools Safer for Good,” that outlines practical steps for enhancing school safety across the country. This resource guides schools and communities to implement effective safety strategies by leveraging cutting-edge technology and collaborative approaches. By sharing this knowledge, we believe we can empower schools to adopt comprehensive safety measures that make a real difference.
As part of our commitment to this mission, Status Solutions offers SARA (Situational Awareness and Response Assistant), our core school safety solution, through a Grant of Use to K-12 schools at no cost. We’re willing to make this investment because it’s simply the right thing to do. SARA is more than a compliance tool—it’s a situational awareness platform that exceeds Alyssa’s Law requirements by ensuring a faster, coordinated response in critical moments.
Beyond crisis management, SARA supports day-to-day operations, from communicating the need for a custodian to managing any classroom scenario. Its adaptability allows schools to address their unique needs, reinforcing our belief that safety isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution.
The Ohio Connection: Intel’s Investment in a Safer Future
This year, we’re excited to see the newest member of our community, Intel, doubling down on its commitment to safety in education. Intel has made significant investments in Ohio, including a massive $28 billion project to build semiconductor manufacturing plants in our headquarters’ neighboring Licking County. This initiative isn’t just about bringing jobs to the area or boosting the economy; it’s about laying down roots in a community that thrives on innovation and collaboration—a community that Status Solutions has proudly called home for over 20 years.
By investing in Ohio, Intel isn’t just supporting the economy; it’s fueling a culture of growth and opportunity that has earned our state the nickname “Silicon Heartland.” For us at Status Solutions, being headquartered in Ohio means more than just a location on a map—it’s about being a part of a thriving network of businesses, schools, and families that all share a common goal: to make our communities safer and more resilient.
At the heart of this belief is our Status Solutions Network—a program embodying the spirit of business and community coming together to protect our children. We designed the Status Solutions Network as a funding model and a movement that brings local businesses, schools, and community leaders together to create safer learning environments. It’s a blueprint for what can happen when we unite around a common cause, and it’s something we want to see replicated all across the country because we believe every child in every town deserves the same level of safety and security that we’re building right here in Ohio.
Beyond Compliance: A Holistic Approach to School Safety
Actual school safety goes beyond meeting minimum standards. It’s about anticipating risks before they become threats. Our mission is to create proactive safety cultures by equipping schools with intelligent systems that prevent incidents and empower educators and responders with real-time alerts and insights.
Through the Status Solutions Network, we also remove financial barriers, ensuring that schools of all sizes can access essential safety tools without budget constraints. This holistic approach makes comprehensive safety achievable for every institution.
A Community United in Safety
What drives us is the power of community. Our partnerships with organizations like ZeroNow and Intel aren’t just about technology—they’re about building a movement rooted in local engagement with global impact. We’re rekindling the spirit of a time when schools were the heart of the community, where neighbors watched out for each other.
As we look ahead, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in school safety—not just in Ohio but across the nation. With the backing of national companies and the innovative vision of ZeroNow, we believe in a future where safer schools are the norm, not the exception.
This October, let’s do more than just raise awareness; let’s take action. Using the ZeroNow Intel ebook, we can replicate school safety efforts nationwide, and with Status Solutions’ Grant of Use, schools everywhere can access these vital resources. Together, we can create safer learning environments for every student and community across the country. Let’s make this month the start of a movement that transforms school safety from a goal into a reality.
